about
"Vagabond" is the first release from the upcoming album by John Irizarry titled, "This Girl".
The album is dedicated to the memory of, and living spirit of John's daughter, Lauren "Izzy" Irizarry, who took her life on July 18th, 2020.
The hope is that "Vagabond", as well as all the songs on "This Girl", will be there for those who need them. We hope they will deepen compassion, as well as bring comfort and strength to all who hear them and can find connection with them in some way.
“Vagabond” is streaming and available for purchase exclusively on Bandcamp. All proceeds from the Bandcamp download will be donated to suicide prevention causes through ACT Through Music, a non profit whose mission is to raise awareness to, and help fund causes for suicide prevention.
Thank you in advance for your support for this great cause!
lyrics
"Vagabond"
So you like to feel the vagabond
Drifting out in space alone
Taking on all that's coming at you
When all you really want is home
And the prism that you look through
A confusing color scheme
Distorting your reality
And the stars and how they're seen
And you're drifting all around
What is up and what is down
In a giant lost and found
Can you hear my heart pound
I'll take a ship and come and find you
But will you see me there
The cabin door is open
I see you floating way out there
And you're drifting all around
What is up and what is down
In a giant lost and found
Can you hear your heart pound
Break
And you're drifting all around
What is up and what is down
In a giant lost and found
Can you hear my heart pound
I dreamt we walked the shore together
And the gentle waves they hit the beach
And we laughed at all the seagulls
picking garbage like a feast
And you're drifting all around
What is up and what is down
In a giant lost and found
Can you hear your heart pound
